Who I Am
I have always loved to find unique items to decorate my living spaces. I'm happiest poking around a
thrift shop or antique store, discovering treasures. But I wasn't always able to indulge this passion.
From 1980 to 2001, I was in the U.S. Air Force. I furnished my first
apartment in Arizona in the "Early Thrift Shop" style. I then went to
South Korea for a year and fell in love with Oriental decor (where I
"went broke saving money").
Then it was on to assignments in Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana,
New York, Florida, and finally Virginia (with visits to Honduras and
Saudi Arabia).
From 2001 to 2004, I was a government contractor in Rosslyn (not exactly organizations that fostered
creativity).
I had to use my creative side to furnish and decorate four apartments and five homes over that period of
time.
So, I know how hard it is for working people to find time to research, find items, wait for them to come
on sale (if ever), then wait for the delivery guy. Who wants to spend hours at Home Depot or Danker
when your kid has to get to soccer practice or piano lessons?
I'm a detail-oriented person who can sort through the clutter to help you make quick, informed decisions,
go out and purchase items for you, and arrange delivery when you can't be there.
