Who I Am
I have always loved to find unique items to decorate my living spaces. I'm happiest poking
around a thrift shop or antique store, discovering treasures. But I wasn't always able to
indulge this passion.
From 1980 to 2001, I was in the U.S. Air Force. I furnished
my first apartment in Arizona in the "Early Thrift Shop" style.
Then it was on to assignments in six other states and two
foreign countries and finally to retirement in Virginia.
The skills I learned in the military--budgeting, project manage-
ment, flexibility, people and resource management--are now
being coupled with creativity to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior
Design at the Art Institute of Washington.
So, I know how hard it is for working people to find time to research, find items, wait for
them to go on sale (if ever), then wait for the delivery guy. Who wants to spend hours at
Home Depot or Danker when you have to get to extracurricular activities or family
appointments?
I'm a detail-oriented person with super research skills and patiencer who can sort through
the clutter to help you make quick, informed decisions, go out and purchase items for you,
and arrange delivery when you can't be there.
